Toni and Luca live in a small provincial town: Luca drives the ambulance, while Toni is the rescuer. One day, they asked them to carry Emir, who needs specialized medical care, and his daughter Maria to Serbia. In reality, Emir has terminal lung cancer and is heading to Serbia for euthanasia, a fact he has concealed from Maria with the hopes of mending their broken relationship.
