ALESSANDRO DE RITA

After graduating in Modern Literature, in 2000 Alessandro De Rita graduated in Screenwriting from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
In 2001, he joined Mediaset-RTI, where he worked for twelve years in the Fiction Department as Delegate Producer of many successful titles. In 2016 he co-produced with BBC and SKY Italia a 4-part documentary series on the Yara Gambirasio case, titled Unknown 1 directed by Hugo Berkeley. The series achieved a great success with audience and has been repeated several times on Sky channels.
In 2018 he began his experience as Delegate Producer in Pepito Produzioni, working on the creative production of the TV movie series Purchè finisca bene and the feature film Favolacce, which won in 2020 Silver Bear for Best Screenplay, as well as a Globo d’Oro and five Nastri d’Argento.
From 2021 to 2023 he worked for Fremantle Media Italia as Head of Documentary.
